In order to promote turn-over this Act introduced an important innovation over leave schemes for public employees. Only for 2009, 2010 and 2011, 5 years before the retirement age public employees (with 40 years of contributions to social security system) can ask to retire and get 50% of the last salary (70% if he/she will perform volunteering activities) /
