General short description of the innovation
Fornero Reform rearranged flexibility in fireing, ruling: a) dismissals for discriminatory reasons disputes may activate procedures for reinstatement of the workers and/or for a monetary compensation for the damage suffered for the loss of job; b) disputes upon dismissals for disciplinary reasons include two different remedies: the reinstatement at work or an alternative monetary compensation; c) within dismissals for objective justified reasons disputes the remedial framework (reinstatement and/or compensation) had been redesigned, and two new measures over procedural terms have been introduced: the notification of reasons goes together with effective dismissal, conciliation attempts have been established in order to find an alternative route to the termination of the employment contract; d) collective dismissals quarrels can result into three different main remedials arrangements: 1) in the form of compensation and reinstatement; 2) in the form of economic compensation without renstatement; 3) in special forms of compensation /
