Coming up: ESPAnet Conference in Poznan


The Annual ESPAnet conference 2013  focuses on the relations between social policy and economic development. It aims at encouraging the international dissemination and exchange of information on significant developments relevant to European social policy. It offers a forum for debates and exchange of ideas. Below all upcoming presentation from the INSPIRES consortium.


On Thursday at 17.00 Stream 6, called innovative social and labour-market policies in times of crisis, will start. Prof. R. Van Berkel & prof. M. Ellison will lead stream 6. 

Inter alia, Prof. C. Dimoulas will present about exploring the resilience of employment policy measures in the context of crisis: The case of Greece. And Prof. P. Van der Aa will present: Who is the client? Innovating job activation by involving employers.  

Then on Friday at 09.00 Stream 6 will continue with presentations from prof. G. Bonoli and prof. Y. Kazepov. Subsequently it's time for Weys Qaran, he will give a presentation about conceptualising of Labour Market Resilience. This knowledge is gained during the research done for deliverable 1.1 of the INSPIRES project. 

The last session of stream 6 will be held on Friday at 17.00 where among other people Dr. L. Van der Torre will give a presentation about Policy innovations for including disabled people in the labour market.

Last but not least Prof. P. Taylor-Gooby with ''Welfare State Dualisation and New Social Risk Investment'' will present during Stream 20, on Friday 17.00. And Dr. R. Minas with ''Decentralized inequality - devolution and local variation in social assistance payments'' will present at stream 9, Friday 11.00.

During the conference the INSPIRES consortium has planned a meeting of the General Assembly. Therefore an update about upcoming research for the INSPIRES project will follow shortly after the conference.
